Next weekend on Saturday April 30th and Sunday May 1st the San Dieguito River Park will once again be host to the 11th Annual Belgian Waffle Ride bike event! The River Parks Coast to Crest trail system from the Del Dios Gorge staging area to the San Pasqual Valley staging are will be temporarily closed during both days from 0600 to 1300 for the safety of the public and the riders in the event. Please do not enter the trails during this time.
The trails will be open in the afternoon but be aware that there will still be some participants from the event still on course.
All staging areas along the route will also be closed during this weekend, these include the Del Dios Gorge staging area, Hernandez Hideaway staging area, Sunset staging area, Old Coach staging area, Ysabel Creek staging area and 78/Bandy Canyon staging area. The north side of the Lake Hodges pedestrian bridge will also be closed during this time.
The Bernardo Bay staging area, Highland Valley staging area and associated trails on the south side of the park will not be effected and will remain open for public use. For information and locations on trails, visit our Trails page. visit: http://www.sdrp.org/wordpress/trails/
