Launching of the Osuna Trail Segment Project

Home - News and Announcements - Launching of the Osuna Trail Segment Project

April 13, 2021
Posted by: Shawna Anderson

The SDRP JPA recently launched the Osuna Trail Project, a one-mile long segment of the Coast to Crest Trail, a regional multi-use trail for hikers, bicyclists, and equestrians. Approximately 49 miles of the planned 71-mile CTC Trail is complete.

The Osuna trail project is located east of Del Mar and Interstate 5, between Via de la Valle and San Dieguito Road. The Osuna trail segment will provide a vital link in the Coast to Crest Trail connecting the lagoon trail to eastern inland trails. The project includes a bridge crossing over the San Dieguito River, interpretive signs, fencing, and avoids sensitive riparian habitats. We’re currently studying the area and will be preparing a CEQA document once all the studies have been finalized.

We will keep the website updated as planning and implementation progresses so visit our website for the latest updates. This important trail segment will be completed by 2024.
