We are pleased to announce that Ayden Zielke recently joined the SDRP JPA team, taking on the Environmental Planner role. She brings her previous private environmental consulting experience, which includes working on linear projects in sensitive habitats and cultural areas, to the River Park.
Additionally, Ayden studied environmental planning, earning a Master of Urban and Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science. She also earned an Associate of Art in Natural Science and Mathematics where her understanding of Southern California’s unique environs and the awareness of the importance of preserving these extraordinary places grew and inspired her.
Ayden feels a great responsibility to carry on the legacy that the founders of the River Park have built and looks forward to working towards the vision of completing the Coast to Crest trail, supporting projects that provide access to open spaces while also preserving the San Dieguito River Watershed, honoring cultural resources, protecting and restoring native habitats.
If you see her hiking or mountain biking along the trails feel free to say hello and share a bit about your trail adventure.
